Biology

The Biology Speciality Committee is chaired by Dr Peter Ambros and includes members from across SIOPEN. The committee's work is focussed on improving our understanding of the underlying molecular and genetic changes in neuroblastoma. This will help to ensure that treatment decisions, particularly for patients with low or intermediate risk disease, are adapted to the biology of an individual patients' tumour. Understanding the underlying biology of neuroblastoma may also help to lead to the development of new ways of treating the disease.
