Peter Lang

Prof. Lang is the deputy medical director of the department of Hematology/Oncology, University Children’s Hospital Tuebingen. He is a member of the American Society of Hematology, the EBMT pediatric working party, the SIOPEN group and of several German study executive boards.

He completed his medical training at the Eberhard Karls-University Tuebingen, Germany in 1991. He then specialized in and was appointed in 2000 as senior physician in the Department of Hematology/Oncology and as medical director of the laboratory for graft engineering and Immunophenotyping Pediatrics at the University Children’s Hospital in Tuebingen. After having completed his PhD in cellular immunology and transplant biology, he was appointed in 2009 as associate Professor and head of the pediatric stem cell transplantation unit.

His research work concerns clinical trials with graft manipulation in allogeneic stem cell transplantation and immunotherapeutic strategies against lymphatic leukemias and neuroblastoma based on donor NK cells and antibody constructs as well as antiviral therapy with antigen specific T cells.
