Carla Aguilera

Carla has been Clinical Trials Coordinator and Manager in the Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Department at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital since 2018.

She has coordinated more than 50 clinical trials, launched more than 10 research projects, and has developed links with SEHOP in Spain, and ITCC.

She graduated in 2015 as Biologist and in 2018 with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Trials Monitoring. She has always been interested in scientific research but discovered the world of clinical research following her first experience as a study coordinator in Adult Oncology at the same hospital, when she got to know cancer patients and their therapeutic needs.

Carla is now the SIOPEN manager and member of the executive committee.
